the wacky little wonder that is me
I absolutely love what I do. Almost 16 years in and I still feel like I tricked the universe into paying me to be a Creative Director. Hang around with a bunch of weirdos and think up cool things for a living? Say less. Art has always been part of my life, it's truly all I've ever wanted to do, and I genuinely cannot imagine doing anything else. My personal philosophy is to always be a work in progress, to never stop learning and growing, both personally and professionally. I think the day you believe you've figured it all out is the day you stop being interesting.
Beyond the work itself, what lights me up most is the people. Finding talent, nurturing it, and creating the kind of environment where my team feels safe enough to pitch the wackiest, most unhinged ideas in the room. That's where the magic actually lives. The best work I've ever been part of started with someone saying "okay this might be crazy but..." and I will protect that energy at all costs.
When I'm not happily chained to my desk, I love going to the movies. No, but seriously, I love movies, it is a full-blown addiction and I have made peace with that. I'm also a self-identified foodie, above all a pizza enthusiast, and a firm believer that a well-made whiskey sour is one of life's most underrated pleasures. My hair has been every color of the rainbow over the years, but I always find my way back to pink. It's become enough of a calling card that close friends have started referring to me as "Katie with the hot pink hair" and honestly, I don't mind that one bit. You'll also never quite know when I'll show up with fresh ink joining my already impressive collection, if I do say so myself. The rest of my time is spent being a devoted dog mom to my fur children: a chiweenie named LuLu Ferrigno Morris and a black lab named Buddy Dice Krahn.
Smash that contact button in the top nav to tell me how awesome I am (or to recommend a good pizza place).
